Environmental Astrology
Where You Live Affects How You Live
Your birth chart doesn't exist separately from the places you live.
Environmental Astrology explores the relationship between your birth chart and your physical environment—from the parts of the world that call to you, all the way down to the neighborhood, property, land, or home you choose.
By combining astrocartography, relocation astrology, and Local Space astrology, we can look at place through another lens: How does this environment interact with you?
The Same Place Doesn't Feel the Same to Everyone
You already know that different environments can feel completely different.
One neighborhood feels like home immediately. Another never quite does. A city may energize you. A house may give you room to breathe. A workspace may help you focus—or make it nearly impossible.
There are practical reasons for those experiences. There are personal reasons. And Environmental Astrology gives us another layer to explore.
Instead of asking astrology to tell you where you should live, we use your birth chart to become more curious about your relationship with the places you already live—or the places you're considering.
What Can Environmental Astrology Help You Explore?
Thinking about moving?
Compare cities, regions, or locations you're already considering.
Buying a home?
Explore your relationship with a neighborhood, property, or surrounding environment.
Choosing between neighborhoods?
Add another perspective when several places work on paper but feel very different.
Building or buying land?
Explore the location itself as well as how you may experience and use the property.
Considering a second home or investment property?
Look at what a particular location may emphasize for you and what role you want that property to play.
Planning extended travel?
Explore places you're considering spending meaningful time rather than simply looking for your “best line.”
Creating a workspace or home office?
Use Local Space to bring the conversation down to your immediate environment.
Wondering about your current home?
You don't have to be moving. Sometimes understanding your existing relationship with place is the most interesting place to start.
Your Chart Doesn't Choose Your Address.
As both a Pennsylvania REALTOR® and Integrative Astrologer, I'm interested in what happens when we bring astrology into the actual decisions we make about place.
Because a home isn't simply a point on an astrocartography map.
It's a property. A neighborhood. An environment. A financial decision. A physical structure. And ultimately, it's where you're going to live your life.
Environmental Astrology adds another layer to that decision by helping us explore how you may experience a particular place—but it doesn't replace inspections, environmental considerations, finances, lifestyle, or everything else that matters when choosing where to live.
And there is no universally “best” place hiding somewhere on your map.
A location may emphasize different parts of your chart and different areas of your life. Whether that place makes sense for you depends on what you're looking for, what you're creating, and what you actually need from your environment.
The goal isn't to let astrology choose the place.
It's to understand your relationship with place so you can make a more informed decision about where—and how—you want to live.
